This is a box I made for earrings. It was great fun to make, though I have to admit, quite difficult. Why? Because I'm really bad at measurements, rulers and angles! [In fact I have to admit that I'm what they call Dyscalculic.]The best part was the decorating of the box. I painted it all in matt black, then painted the blue background. Afterwards I drew in the tree with heart shaped leaves. I then rubbed a gold paste over all the black areas. Finally, I gave it about ten coats of varnish.Very ethnic, very John Lewis hippy!
