This is another piece I completed at the print studios in Southill Park. A woodcut. I painstakingly carved away slithers of wood from a board, trying not to slip, trying not to cut myself, trying not to get too uptight! Eventually I ended up with an interesting design. I then mixed up the ink to the right consistency and tackiness. Used a roller and coated the wood. Then I quickly placed it on the press and gently placed a sheet of good quality paper over the board. I printed off about eight or nine copies before it all fell apart and deteriorated. They were my Christmas presents to a few friends. They were very pleased... at least I think they were!
